80 Days To Go...!
I am currently preparing to get some of the interior work on the van all sorted out. I have the wood for all the door panels, just need to cut them, make sure they fit, get the fabric, cover them and fix them. That is after sorting out all the units too! I have the wood coming on Friday for those so will begin this weekend I think, however word on the grape vine is is that it will be snowing, so we will see how that pans out.
Pretty much panicking now about how little time is left. There's so much to do too. I'm sure it will all come together, but it seems strange that something you think about so much isn't that long away. I just hope it doesn't go that fast whilst we're away!
I had a look today on the Internet about Oktober fest. you can tell I am an armature as silly old me thought it was in Oktober...no no no no no...it's in September! Good job you look into things really otherwise we would be somewhat disappointed!
Anyway, at the weekend, we went to Blickling Hall with Maggie, Sophie and Adam. It was pretty awesome. Haven't been there for years. It's really strange going back to a place that you remember when you were younger. Things seem so much different through the mature adult eyes I now have!
Realised that I haven't updated this since we went to York, Manchester and Cambridge. I will try and get some photo's here in the week of that. It was all really good fun. It was a good practice for going to Europe in some ways too and definitely got me more excited about it all. I will write about it when I upload it then.
Everyone else has abandoned us jetting off to Barbados, so we are holding fort at Pym Palace! That also explains the lack of pictures.
That's it for now. Thought I better write something as I haven't done for some time.

Happy New Year!
She's naked! I decided that as i'm getting all the exterior work tarted up I may as well get the interior top notch too! Also there was a unit running down one side of the van which every time you rolled over in bed it was perfect knee cap height and decided I couldn't stand that for nearly 6 months. I'm dropping the van off at the garage on Sat morning to have the following sorted out:-
- Bottom of sliding door (inner and outer sill)
- Nearside Rear Wheel Arch
- Both rear bottom quarter panels
- New Engine Lid
- New Rear Hatch Door
- Drivers side rear window sill
- Panel in front of drivers side rear wheel arch
- The rest of the window rubber seals replaced
- Roof painted
- Sort our electrics
- Fit a hook up in the engine compartment
- Fix jacking points
- Maybe put on the alloys that I bought
- Fit new rubber seal around sliding door, engine lid and rear hatch
I think that is it...! Hopefully everything will be complete by Feb so that I can then start work on sorting out the interior by putting in new units, the panels that I took out and get my wonderful Mummy to make some cushion covers.
Enough boring stuff about the van anyway.
Sue, Beck and Jack came down over the New Year which was all good and great to finally meet them! On the Friday it was Mum's last birthday in her 40's so we went out for a meal in Rockland St Mary's. Dinner actually got the better of me and I couldn't finish my meal!
Sorry Becky, you were just missed on this picture, but it's the only one with the majority of everyone in it! If it is any consolation I do look like a "special" person.
On the Saturday we (Beck, Jack, Dad and Me) went to see Norwich v Wolves. It ended up being 1-1 but was real good fun. The last time I went to see Norwich play was April 2005 I think!
On the Sunday we all (Mum, Dad, Erica, Sue, Beck, Jack and Me) headed to London for the day out. We parked at Marsh in London which was really handy. We then got the tube to the London Eye...
Just in case you don't know what it looks like! Where Erica, Sue, Beck and Jack went on it. After they had finished we walked about seeing a lot of the sights such as:- Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St James Park, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Leicester Square and the Tower of London.
On the Monday it was New Years Eve so in the morning I went to work, then left at lunch time. Jack and I went over the school field for a kick about then we saw the New Year in at Attleborough with our last gig! It was a really good night.
The plans for the next few days are that tomorrow I am meeting Beck and Jack at Kings Cross Station for a day out in London. They really wanted to go and see Madame Tussuad's whilst they were over, so we will go there then decide what else to do when we are there. I did get three free tickets to the Tower of London so we could go there also. They are then coming back to Norwich later on that evening and staying until Sunday. On Saturday I have got tickets to see Norwich v Bury in the FA Cup whilst Erica and Beck do something in the city. The Sunday will probably be spent at the coast hopefully if the weather is nice. It has been predicted to be really cold here soon and today it has been snowing but probably the lamest snow ever!
I will be updating next with the stuff from our week away in York, Manchester and Cambridge. Mum and Sue are also joining us on the trip so it will be really cool! Can't wait! No work til Monday 14th either!
